Miras Gallery presents Ufa part of "Birds and Bicycles" international project

The Miras Gallery will host the "Hard Water" exhibition as part of the Birds and Bicycles international project from November 9 to 30.

In terms of genre, the project is a large and long-term international festival, which takes place in Berlin, Warsaw, Krosno, Gdansk, Moscow, Ufa, Petrozavodsk Tver from September to December 2021. The exhibitions will be attended by artists from Russia, Poland, and Germany. The project will be carried out in a hybrid format: all its events will also be available online.

"The Ufa part of the Hard Water project includes both a direct indication of the chemical properties of water and a paradoxical epithet. The topic of water, as the fundamental principle of life, is of particular importance for Ufa residents, not only due to the specifics of our region, where increased water hardness is due to natural factors, but also echoes of the ecological "phenolic" catastrophe of 1990," the organizers of the exhibition explained.

The exhibition features Nelly Akchurina, Azat Basyrov, Bulat Badamshin, Timofey Dorofeev, Rinat Minnebaev, Alexander Sobolev, Aliya Hansen, Sergey Gapanovich, Julia Franke, Marcelina Tsedzhinska, Dagmara Skvarska, David Herda.

The exposition includes sculpture, installation, video, painting, graphics, photography, digital graphics by artists from Russia and Poland. The exhibition program consists of a performance by Nelly Akchurina, a public talk with the project participants, and a discussion.
