Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater is preparing musical fairy tale "New Year's Adventures of Masha and Vitya"

On the eve of the family holiday of the New Year, the premiere of the children's play "New Year's Adventures of Masha and Vitya" to the music of Gennady Gladkov will take place.

As the theater press secretary Elena Nikulskaya told Bashinform News Agency, director Shamil Sirazetdinov staged the musical fairy tale. It will feature artists of the opera team and young talents from the Children's Opera Studio.

Now rehearsals are underway at the theater, the premiere is planned for the end of December.

The fabulous story begins on New Year's Eve. Young Masha and Vitya, playing in the house, find very old things in the attic. The toys are already badly worn out, but faith in miracles draws bright images in the girl's imagination, and Masha is trying to revive a giant doll of Santa Claus. The trick with transformation does not work, which makes Vitya happy. Unlike Masha, he only believes in science and technology. Making fun of the girl, he repeats Masha's funny trick, but unexpectedly for everyone, the doll comes to life. This is how the guys' amazing and sometimes even risky adventures begin, which will undoubtedly end well: the New Year will come, and the most cherished dreams will come true.
