The 1st Nariman Sabitov International Competition for Young Musicians will take place in Ufa from November 1 to November 3. Contestants are divided into two nominations - "Piano" and "Violin".
The competition is open to students of children's music schools, art schools, as well as young performers from foreign countries aged 7 to 15 years. It was decided to hold the competition in a distance format in one round. Applications are accepted until October 20.
According to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan press service, applications were received by the organizing committee from different cities of Russia: Vladikavkaz, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Tver, Saratov, Chelyabinsk regions, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan.
Famous musicians and teachers of Russia will chair the jury of the competition in nominations: professor of the special piano department of the P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Ovchinnikov, and Professor of the Violin Department of the P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Trostyansky.
In addition to the title of laureate, young musicians have a chance to receive a special prize for the best performance of a work by Nariman Sabitov.
As a reward, the winners of the Grand Prix and the first prizes will receive a master class with the chairman of the jury for nominations. The masterclasses will be broadcasted on YouTube, so everyone can watch them.
The 1st Nariman Sabitov International Competition for Young Musicians was established in 2020 and is timed to coincide with the 95th anniversary of the Bashkir classical composer Nariman Sabitov. The competition is held within the framework of the Creative People project of the "Culture" national project.
