Ballet dancers of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater take part in the Context.Diana Vishneva International Contemporary Choreography Festival. One of the missions of the festival, which has been organized since 2013 by the prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theater Diana Vishneva, is to reveal a different perspective and idea of dance to viewers. The festival is held in Moscow, and St. Petersburg and also has a regional program.
The one-act ballet "No Names", created for participation in the festival, was staged at the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater by Ernest Nurgali, winner of the Young Choreographers Competition of the Context.Diana Vishneva festival. The music was written by the Swiss composer Frederic Jarabo, especially for this production.
"No Names" is a story about six strangers, each of whom confesses to their secret desires and actions. According to the choreographer, this performance is like a psychotherapy session, where all participants are given an opportunity to share their stories. The ballet dancers take part in the performance: Razilya Murzakova, Krestina Razenkova, Victoria Tolmacheva, Ruslan Abulkhanov, Sergey Bikbulatov, Evgeny Varakin.
September 29 as part of the Context. Diana Vishneva, the performance was shown at the Moscow "Gogol-Center" theater on October 3; it will be featured at the Kamennoostrovsky theater in St. Petersburg.
The performance will also appear in Bashkir Opera and Ballet repertoire, the press service of the theater reports. The approximate time of the appearance in the repertoire is December.
