October 29-31, the R. Nureyev Bashkir Choreographic College will host the IV International Festival-Competition of Choreographic Schools (Colleges) and Academies "Maly Nureyevsky".
This year the festival will be held as a competition classical and folk-stage dance. Eminent persons of the world of choreography will be present as members of the jury and guests of our festival.
"Among the festival participants are the best schools of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan," the organizers of the festival inform.
The festival competition's opening will occur in conjunction with an exhibition dedicated to Rudolf Nureyev's creativity. The author of the works is the photographer of the National Opera of Paris, Francette Levieux. During the first day of the competition, there will be a meeting with Charles Jude, a former dancer of the Grand Opera, who worked for a long time under the direction of Rudolf Nureyev, director of the Bordeaux Opera ballet troupe, and other guests of the festival closely associated with Rudolf Nureyev.
On October 30, two masterclasses in classical dance will be organized for all participants from the art director of the Perm Choreographic School, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tolstukhin.
Within the festival's framework, it is planned to hold a round table dedicated to the problems of choreographic education.
During the three days of the competition, a cultural program is supposed: a viewing of the ballet "Don Quixote" performed by the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater artists and an excursion to the Rudolf Nureyev Museum.
A festive gala concert and a solemn presentation of certificates for the winners of the IV International Festival-Competition "Maly Nureyevsky" will close the event.
