Yesterday, the opening of the 6th Festival of Russian Musical Theaters "See Music" took place in Moscow. The program of the theatrical forum included two performances of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, the press service of the theater reported.
On November 15, on the stage of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Musical Theater, the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater will present one-act ballets by Nikolai Popov "What the Stones Are Silent About", "The Light of an Extinguished Star" choreographed by Rinat Abushakhmanov.
On November 16, the same venue will show the opera by the Soviet and Russian composer, musicologist, and philosopher Vladimir Martynov's "New Life" ("Vita Nuova"), the world premiere of which took place last season. The performance director is the People's Artist of Bashkortostan, laureate of the Russian National Theater Award "Golden Mask" Artem Makarov, the stage director is Elizaveta Korneeva.
The "See Music" festival is held annually; the initiator of the forum is the Association of Musical Theaters. This year it brings together more than 30 performances of Russian musical theaters from Irkutsk to Kaliningrad.
