Round Dance of World Folkloriada participants in Ufa set world record

The round dance of the participants of the VI World Folkloriada, which they organized in the amphitheater behind the Congress Hall "Toratau" in Ufa, officially became a world record. the editor-in-chief and founder of the Russian Book of Records, Stanislav Konenko, announced this was from the stage.

He noted that representatives of 57 countries - more than 2700 people - took part in the Round Dance of friendship.

Another record was that representatives of 71 nationalities took part in the round dance of friendship.

CIOFF President Philippe Beaussant noted that the record had been set and congratulated all the participants on this great event. According to him, this is another fact that Ufa today is the center of world folk culture and friendship.

Together with the Minister of Culture of Bashkortostan Amina Shafikova, Mr. Beaussant took part in the solemn ceremony of raising the flag of the VI World Folkloriada.

Then a concert took place at the main stage of the Folkloriada in the amphitheater behind the Toratau Congress Hall. The concert was closed with a performance by the People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Babkina and the Russian Song ensemble.

Let us remind you that bands from 37 countries of the world and the headliners of the festival will perform in the amphitheater every evening.
