Ufa will host Sergei Dovlatov Festival of Poets

One of the issues discussed at the press conference of the Head of Bashkortostan was related to the celebration of the 80th birthday of the writer Sergei Dovlatov. The journalists were interested in what had already been done to prepare for the anniversary of the famous Ufa resident.

According to the Minister of Culture of Bashkortostan Amina Shafikova, the issue of naming one of the streets in Ufa after Dovlatov is under consideration by the city authorities. The installation of art objects is also in progress. In addition, anniversary events are expected for the residents of the republic, including the Sergei Dovlatov Festival of Poets.

“We are fulfilling our plans; these events will be funded,” Radiy Khabirov said.
