Yuri Shevchuk: "I am workhorse from Ural city, where they loved rock and jazz"

The leader of the DDT group Yuri Shevchuk was on the air of the "Vecherniy Urgant" program.
Together with the presenter Ivan Urgant, they discussed his moving to St. Petersburg from Ufa, the first years at the Leningrad rock club, and the first concerts.
Answering the question about the consequences of the COVID year, Yuri Shevchuk said:
“I am an old graphomaniac, and I immediately began to write. Now 28 songs have already been recorded; we are mixing the first part. We are working a lot. We use time as intended, observe nature. I adore Ufa. Hello to fellow countrymen! ” Yuriy Shevchuk said.
He remembered that he first arrived in Leningrad by train on November 8, went to Ploshchad Vosstaniya.
“I was a regular guy, from the Ural city, a workhorse, where they loved jazz and harsh rock,” Yuri Shevchuk said.
He also noted that they had brought creativity dedicated to the working class to the Leningrad rock club.
They also talked about how the video "What is Autumn" was filmed. Shevchuk said that the shooting was organized by chance, and the musicians were walking over the Tsarskoe-Selo Park.
In the end, Shevchuk sang the song "Rich Boys".
