Second Street Art Festival of Volga Federal District "FormART" has started

In 2021, the FormArt street art festival is dedicated to science and technology. The Street Art Festival "FormART" is held within the framework of a public project of the Volga Federal District at the initiative of the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov. The project aims to develop street art and support the creativity of young graffiti artists.

The theme of the Festival in 2021 is "Looking Into the Future". Participants are encouraged to create street art objects dedicated to reflecting the country's development potential and new technologies in one of three thematic areas: "New Technologies", "Man and Science," or "World of the Future".

The qualifying stage of the Festival started on June 1 and will last until July 7. During this period, the website formartpfo.ru accepts applications from street art artists aged 16 to 35 years.

The competition finalists will have an opportunity to embody their artistic ideas on the walls of famous buildings. Photos and videos of the process of creating works on objects of the urban environment will be posted on the project website, and the winner of the Festival will be determined by a public vote this autumn.

The prize fund of the competition has been doubled this year. Winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will receive cash prizes in the amount of 100 to 200 thousand rubles for the further development of creativity.

The Street Art Festival of the Volga Federal District "FormART" was first held in 2020 and was dedicated to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Through their graffiti, young artists conveyed the importance of medical workers' and volunteers' contribution to the preservation of life and health of the population.
