Bashkir journalist living in USA launches YouTube channel about emigrants

A native of Bashkortostan, now living in Los Angeles, journalist Aigul Gimranova-Lyon opened the Muhadzhir YouTube channel. It tells about the life of Bashkir and Tatar emigrants in the United States.

As "Tatar-inform" news agency reports, preparations for the channel's launch took about six months. The channel currently has three videos.

The heroes of the first plots were the Guzel and Ildus Aimadullin families from Naberezhnye Chelny, Zukhra Salakhutdinova-Arakeri from Kazan, and Andrey Drinfeld from Ukraine. They tell how they learn their native language, how they moved to America, how they keep their native language in another country. All the heroes of the episodes speak their own language; interviews are recorded in the Bashkir and Tatar languages.

“Before that, I had my own YouTube channel. The new one will tell about the Tatars and Bashkirs who grew up in their national environment and moved to America for permanent residence, "Aigul Gimranova-Lyon shared.

Aigul plans to make a documentary about Tatar and Bashkir emigrants in America.
