Milyausha Murtazina was born on May 27, 1926, in the village of Bakaevo of the Ufa canton of the Bashkir ASSR (now the Kushnarenkovsky district of Bashkortostan) in a peasant family. In 1950 she graduated from the Bashkir Studio at the Ural Conservatory, in 1954 - from the Kazan Conservatory. She worked as a teacher at the Ufa Children's Music School No. 1 and then headed the Ufa State Institute of Arts department. Among the students of Professor Murtazina are People's Artists of Russia Radik Gareev, Salavat Askarov, Honored Artists of Russia Askar, and Ildar Abdrazakovs, Ilfak Smakov, Sazida Galimova, Nazhiya Allayarova, Idris Gaziev, People's Artists of Bashkortostan Rail Kuchugdin, Khamityzy Izhbolumitov Shamil Khamadinurov and others.
