Eurovision participant Manizha will perform at World Folkloriada concert in Ufa

The World Folkloriada will start at the Ufa Arena on July 3. More than 800 artists will take part in it, the press service of the Head of the Republic reported.
From July 4 to 9, the folklore festival "Heart of the Folkloriada" will be held at the main concert venue of the forum, in the amphitheater of the Congress Hall "Toratau". Every day the concerts will begin with performances by the participants of the Folkloriada and invited world-renowned groups. Among them there is the ensemble "Russian Song", the State Academic Kuban Cossack Choir, the Chechen State Dance Ensemble "Vainakh", the pipers' orchestra of Moscow, the Russian Eurovision participant, the singer Manizha, the rock bands Plantec (France), Ulytau (Kazakhstan) and The Hatters (Russia).
On May 24, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, spoke at a meeting of the organizing committee to prepare and hold the VI World Folkloriada in the republic. Tatiana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, chaired it by videoconference.
On May 14, the launching ceremony of the countdown "50 days to the VI World Folkloriada" took place in Ufa.
Tatyana Golikova noted that it would be necessary to maximize the vaccination options for the organizers and participants of the Folkloriada, as well as those who would be in direct contact with them, including volunteers, vehicle drivers.
Alla Manilova, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia, spoke in detail about preparing and holding the international event. She said that 48 out of 55 official foreign delegations have already confirmed participation in the Folkloriada. Following the rules of the CIOFF (International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Traditional Arts), each country will be represented by one creative team. The choreographic ensemble "Venzel" from Penza will perform on behalf of Russia.
The Folkloriada program will also include the International Exhibition of Folk Crafts and the CIOFF Conference on the Preservation of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
In his speech, the Head of Bashkortostan emphasized that the republic had entered the final stage of preparation for a significant cultural event. At the same time, according to Radiy Khabirov, the program will not be limited to the republic's capital. 22 municipalities are completing the preparations for the Folkloriada. The event organizers determined the venues for the performances, the places of residence of the festival participants in the hotels and spa resorts of Bashkortostan.
The largest events of the Folkloriada will be broadcast by leading media both on TV and on Internet, including social media. More than 600 volunteers will assist in the work of the forum.
The closing ceremony will take place at the open amphitheater of the Toratau Congress Hall on July 10.
In total, about 2,000 participants of the Folkloriada are expected in Bashkortostan. Among the CIS countries, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan confirmed participation in the cultural forum. Delegations of France, Italy, Austria, Spain, Greece, Switzerland, Estonia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia, Poland, and Montenegro will arrive in Bashkortostan from among the European states. Participants from India and South Africa will represent the BRICS countries. Middle East states – Israel, Palestine, United Arab Emirates; Latin America - Mexico, Chile, and Colombia; the delegation of the USA and African countries - Egypt and Algeria also confirmed their participation.
