Bashkortostan tops rating of regions in cultural heritage objects number included EGRN

More than 35 thousand entries of cultural heritage objects were included in 2020 in the Unified State Register of Immovable Property (EGRN). Experts of the Cadastral Chamber of the Russian Federation have identified the three leading regions in terms of the number of information on cultural heritage objects included in the EGRN.

The leader of the rating is the Republic of Bashkortostan, which last year made 9729 entries into the EGRN. Among them are the borders of such territories of cultural heritage sites of federal significance as the Kilimovsky Palace, the Husein-bek Mausoleum, the Tura-Khan Mausoleum, the Small Keshene Mausoleum, and the Bende-bike Mausoleum, the Bashkultnasledie agency reported.

The second position is occupied by the Rostov region, which made 4842 entries of the region's sights in the real estate register. The three leaders are closed by the Moscow Region, which last year supplemented the EGRN with 1529 entries.

Experts point out that often historical buildings accommodate offices, banks, cafes, shops. Tenants of such premises must comply with several requirements for preserving the appearance of the object used, established in the security obligation.

In total, the EGRN contains more than 76 thousand entries of the historical and cultural monuments of the peoples of Russia, more than 43 thousand borders of the territories of cultural heritage objects, and 11.4 thousand zones of their protection.
