"Foma" rock musical based on songs of Yuri Shevchuk received three Golden Masks

The "Foma" rock musical based on the songs of Yuri Shevchuk received three Golden Mask awards. Philip Razenkov, the chief director of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, staged the rock musical at the Novosibirsk Musical Theater.

One award was for best performance in an Operetta/Musical. The artist of the Novosibirsk Musical Theater, Alexander Kryukov, was awarded for the best male role in an operetta or musical in "Foma". His theater colleague Nikita Vorobyov received the Golden Mask for his supporting role in the same production.

The ceremony of presenting the Russian national theater prize Golden Mask took place yesterday for the 27th time in the Moscow concert hall "Zaryadye".

“We owe both these awards and the success of the audience to the man who allowed us to make this performance, touching on very personal and tragic moments of his life, allowed us to use his songs without asking for anything. Thank you very much, dear Yuri Yulianovich !! ", Philip Razenkov posted after the awards ceremony.
