Series of postcards dedicated to National Costume Day has been put into circulation

A series of postcards dedicated to the Day of National Costume has been published in the postal circulation. The thematic series consists of three postcards depicting the festive female costume of the southern Bashkirs, the costume of the yurt foreman, and the festive female costume of the Kurgan Bashkirs.
The issue of postcards was initiated by the Office of the Federal Postal Service of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Republican Ministry of Culture.
The inscriptions on the front side of the postcards depicting costumes are made in both Russian and Bashkir languages. The postcards have a standard postage stamp corresponding to the rate for postage within Russia.
Postal products with a Bashkir national theme were issued earlier. In 1933, in the series "Peoples of the USSR", a postage stamp was issued with the image of Bashkirs in national dress against the background of a yurt and horses. Since that time, envelopes, stamps, and postcards dedicated to the famous natives of Bashkiria, its history, nature, and administrative structure have been published more than a hundred times.
Last year, the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, established by his decree to celebrate the Day of the National Costume in Bashkortostan in April and October.
According to Irek Galimov, the director of the Department of the Federal Security Service of the Republic of Bashkortostan, postcards with the image of the Bashkir national costume will be of particular value for collectors and postcrossing fans.
