Passage near "Bashkiria" shopping center and forest are proposed to be named after Sergei Dovlatov

It is proposed to name a passage around the "Bashkiria" shopping center and the forest from the hippodrome “Akbuzat” to Tramplin (ski-jump) in honor of the writer Sergei Dovlatov. This proposal is submitted for approval by the deputies of the City Council of Ufa.
The writer and publicist Sergei Dovlatov (according to his passport Dovlatov-Mechik) was born on June 22, 1941, in Ufa, in the family of those evacuated from Leningrad during the war: theater director Donat Mechik and literary proofreader Nora Dovlatova. In 1944, the Dovlatov family returned to Leningrad.
A hundred books recommended by the Russian Ministry of Education for independent reading include four works by Dovlatov. Now Dovlatov is one of the most widely read Russian writers of the second half of the 20th century.
To perpetuate the writer's memory, on November 26, 2011, in Ufa, a commemorative plaque was installed to the writer on the facade of house number 56 in Gogol Street, where he was born and spent his infancy, which he repeatedly mentioned in his works.
