Astana Opera hosted Alfia Karimova's solo concert "Magic of the Baroque"

A solo concert of the Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Astana Opera leading soloist, prize-winner of international competitions Alfiya Karimova, took place at the Astana Opera (Nur-Sultan). The owner of a luxurious coloratura soprano, our compatriot, has long won the public's love in the capital of Kazakhstan.

In the program "Magic of the Baroque", the singer, accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of the Astana Opera, performed arias from operas and oratorios by Handel, Bach, and Vivaldi. The concert was conducted by the Kazakh conductor, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abzal Mukhitdin.

The first concert "Magic of the Baroque" was organized at the Astana Opera in 2015. Since then, this program has become one of the singer's and theater's brands. Musicians, honored figures of the Republic of Kazakhstan Damilya Makhpirova and Bagdat Abilkhanov, laureate of international competitions Zhania Mukhitdinova, Aset Neldybaev, Alexey Kosyrev also performed at the concert.

The native of Bashkortostan, Alfiya Karimova, a student of the Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation Milyausha Murtazina and Honored Worker of Culture RB Nailya Yusupova, began her art career on the stage of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater. She is a prize-holder of about three dozen international, all-Russian and republican vocal competitions. In Ufa, the singer performed in March 2019: with a solo concert at the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society and sang Mikaela in the opera "Carmen" by Bizet at the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater.
