Contemporary choreography nights: "Light of Extinguished Star" premiere is taking place in Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater

The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater premieres one-act ballet "The Light of an Extinguished Star" for two nights in a row, on February 18 and 19. The audience can enjoy the new lyrical production in the second part, with another modern choreographic performance - "What the Stones Are Silent About" ballet in the first part.
The ballet master-director of both performances is Rinat Abushakhmanov; the composer is Nikolay Popov. The ballet "The Light of an Extinguished Star" is based on the Bashkir legend "Yuraktau" ("Heart-Mountain") and acquaints the audience with the culture, traditions of Bashkiria, priceless melodic heritage embodied in modern forms and genres of musical and choreographic art.
The libretto was written by Rinat Abushakhmanov and Nikolay Popov, production designer - Faniya Nizamova, lighting designer - Serdar Charyev, video artist - Andrew Quinn (Italy/Australia).
The "What are the Stones Silent About" ballet takes the audience to the Shulgan-Tash Cave. According to the ballet's creators, Shulgan-Tash is one of the places where art was born, and the first artist was a beautiful girl who gave the descendants the mysterious images of the ancient world.
Young talented artists of Bashkir Ballet Theater performed in the ballets: Ayrat Masegutov, Sofya Gavryushina, Andrey Bryntsev, Salavat Bulatov, Rasil Sagitov, Alisa Alekseeva.
