Several new monuments are planned to be installed in the capital of Bashkiria to celebrate the 450th anniversary of Ufa, which will take place in June 2024. This was stated by the deputy head of the Ufa administration Nikolay Fadeev. Among them are monuments to the first governor of the Ufa province, Grigory Sergeevich Aksakov, and the chief architect of the city of Chernikovsk, Margarita Kupriyanova.
The Ufa development program for the next four years, developed by the Moscow Center for Urbanism, also includes many monuments to outstanding people whose life and work was associated with Bashkiria and its capital.
The monument to the writer Sergei Dovlatov, a native of Ufa, is proposed to be placed at the corner of Gogol - Kommunisticheskaya streets, to Yaroslav Hasek - in the park near the Zaki Validi library. A monument to Evgraf Gladyshev, the Napoleonic wars hero, can be erected not far from his burial place on Balandin Boulevard in Inors. The image of the hero of the Ural-Batyr national epic will be appropriate at the corner of Revolutionnaya and 50 Let Oktyabrya streets, and the embankment of the Belaya River is best suited to perpetuate the memory of the famous polar navigator Valerian Albanov.
