World Folkloriada-2021 was presented in Ufa

The first day of the International Business Week - 2020, which started in Ufa today, December 8, ended with a presentation of the VI World Folkloriada. The International Festival of Folk Arts will be held in Bashkortostan in the summer of 2021. The presentation was opened by a Cosmopolitan fashion show in ethnic style.
"We are finishing the first day of our International Business Week. In my opinion, the program turned out to be rich and interesting, despite the unusual format dictated by the coronavirus pandemic. In the coming days, we all have an extensive business program and many meetings. Welcome to Bashkortostan," said Radiy Khabirov.
The night's program was completed by the performances of the Faizi Gaskarov State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble, the Miras Folklore Song and Dance Ensemble, and the People's Artist of Bashkortostan Robert Yuldashev with the Kuraisy group.
The World Folkloriada is part of the official events of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF) and takes place every four years. Traditionally, about 3 thousand artists from 60-80 countries take part in it.
The first Folkloriada took place in 1996 in the Netherlands, and in subsequent years it was held in Japan, Hungary, South Korea, and Mexico. The decision that Ufa will become the capital of the next World Folkloriada was made in 2015 at the 45th World Congress and General Assembly of CIOFF in Peru.
