Big Band from Ufa opens International Festival of Arts "Philharmoniada" in Kazan

On December 5, Kazan will host the 13th International Festival of Arts "Philharmoniada", which is considered one of the largest and most popular cultural events.

A well-known Bashkir jazz group - the Big Band of the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society, directed by the People's Artist of Bashkortostan Oleg Kasimov was invited to open the festival.

The orchestra will perform in the first part of the opening concert, sharing the stage with the Philharmonic Jazz Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted by Sergei Vasiliev.

The Ufa Orchestra will present a multi-genre program with the author's compositions by Oleg Kasimov. These are the exotic composition "Legends of the East" already performed at international festivals and the new lyrical composition "Premonition". The orchestra will also present to the Kazan public a couple of "Gangster Tales" by Oleg Kasimov and the best examples of the Soviet song: "Captain" by I. Dunaevsky and "Good Girls" by A. Pakhmutova, as well as the hit "Tro-lo-lo" from the album of the band arranged by the orchestra leader.

Soloists, special guests of the forum are singers Polina Kobets and Siyavush Shermat-zade, as well as the Honored Artist RB, kurai player Ilnur Khairullin.

The festival will be held from December 5 to 15 at the G. Tukay Tatar State Philharmonic Society.
