3rd International Festival of Contemporary Art "BashkortARTstan" is being held in Ufa

The 3rd International Festival of Contemporary Art "BashkortARTstan" is being held in Ufa in November 2020 - January 2021. Due to the pandemic, some of the festival events will be online and some offline. The chairman of the festival organizing committee is a composer and conductor, candidate of art history, associate professor of the Ufa State Academy of Arts Azamat Khasanshin told Bashinform about the festival's events.
He called the Evening with Danil Khasanshin and the National Symphony Orchestra RB, which took place in the Concert Hall of the Ufa College of Arts on November 13 as the festival's discovery. On November 20, within the festival's framework, the International online exhibition We ARt will be held. 131 artists from 46 countries will take part in the online exhibition. The author of the idea and organizer of the exhibition Olga Frolova is an artist, curator of several international art projects, executive secretary of the Regional Department of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia in RB.
In December - January, Ufa residents will have a rich program of contemporary music concerts, exhibitions, art events, and performances. Admission to all festival events is free.
Previously, the festival was held twice in Ufa - in May 2018 and May-June 2019 as part of the International Night of Museums. The 1st and 2nd festivals brought together the leading representatives of contemporary art of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bashkortostan: artists, musicians, sculptors, dancers, art critics from Russia, neighboring countries, Europe, South America. Exhibitions, performances, art events, choreographic performances, round tables, and seminars on the problems of contemporary art were held. Within the festival's framework in 2019, for the first time in the republic, the All-Russian Laboratory of Young Composers, Choreographers and Dancers was held in cooperation with the International Association of Young Composers MOLOT (headed by Yaroslav Sudzilovsky).
