Ilgam Valiev is preparing for concert from Ilgam Shakirov repertoire

A concert of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan's honored artist, soloist of the Bashkir Opera Ilgam Valiev, will take place in Kazan. It symbolizes the creative relay race from the legendary singer Ilgam Shakirov, who passed away in January 2019.

As "Tatar-Inform" reports, the concert will feature only the songs performed by Ilgam Shakirov. It is scheduled for December 2 at the Concert Hall of the Tatar State Philharmonic Society. Under the new requirements, the hall will be only 30 percent full.

"I believe that we, modern performers, should be the successors of the traditions of Ilgam Shakirov. Let the audience get it right: we are not going to copy the singing of our favorite artist. We want to transfer his songs to new generations," Ilgam Valiev shared.

Laureates of the Vagapov festival, artists of the two republics - Ruslan Sayfutdinov, Gulsiren Abdullina, Azat Abitov, Ranis Gabbazov, Zalilya will also perform at the concert. The special guest at the concert is Ferdinand Salakhov.
