Italian-Russian director Alessandra Giuntini staged "The Marriage of Figaro" in Ufa

The premiere of the "The Marriage of Figaro" play took place at the Russian Drama Theater. It is based on the famous comedy by Beaumarchais, written almost two and a half centuries ago. The play was staged by the young director and actress Alessandra Giuntini.

Alessandra got acquainted with the troupe of the Ufa Russian Theater at the Creative Laboratory project and was invited to the production.

The entire production team was invited from St. Petersburg. These are production designer Themistokles Atmadzas, costume designer Olga Atmadzas, composer Ilya Amelin, lighting designer Igor Fomin.

"We tried to find a place for Figaro in today's world, to capture his energy, to show that he never gives up, despite the difficulties. The fundamental foundations of a person do not change, but Beaumarchais gives us the key to eternal life, and this key is laughter and self-irony," said Alessandra Giuntini.

"It was very nice to work with the troupe; the actors were very flexible and ready to take risks, it always pleases. If they ask, I will gladly come to Ufa again! "

Roles in the play are performed by Vyacheslav Vinogradov and Ivan Ovchinnikov (Figaro), Rustem Gaisin (Count Almaviva), Daria Filippova and Alina Dolgova (Countess), Daria Tolkaneva (Suzanne) and Timur Fakhrutdinov (Cherubino), Irina Agashkova and Tatyana Afanasina (Marcelina), Alexander Leushkin (Bartolo), Sergey Basov (Antonio), Ruslan Katerinchuk and Anton Kostin (Basil), Yulia Tonenko and Olga Lukyanova (Fanshetta), Sergey Pakhomov (Briduazon).
