"Miras" Ensemble participates in International Mexican Folklore Festival "Hidalgo"

The Miras Song and Dance Ensemble will represent Russia at the 22th Hidalgo International Folklore Festival, which will take place from October 23 to 30.

The festival is held annually in Pachuca (Hidalgo State, Mexican Republic) and includes not only performances by international and local bands, but also a parade, food and craft fairs. Last year, the 21st festival was timed to coincide with the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the arrival of the Spaniards in Mexico.

The organizing committee decided that in 2020, the Hidalgo festival will be held online due to the pandemic. Spectators around the world will see performances by 15 bands from 10 countries (Indonesia, China, Philippines, Georgia, Benin, Bolivia, Botswana, Ukraine, Panama, Cuba, Russia) - members of CIOFF, as well as spectacular performances from ensembles from 3 states of the Mexican Republic.

The festival will be broadcast on social media, radio, and television in the state of Hidalgo (Mexican Republic).
