Ufa native Ruslan Ishdavletov set world record for continuous piano playing
A native of Ufa, Ruslan Ishdavletov, set a world record for playing the piano continuously, TASS reports. Ruslan has been working as a butcher in the market of the Vsevolozhsky district of the Leningrad region for ten years to earn money and provide for his family. However, his favorite pastime since childhood is music, piano improvisation.
The musician has already played five marathons; they were broadcast on social media. Each time the marathons get longer and longer. Thus, on September 25, at the light installation exhibition "Garden of Dreams" in the creative space Lumiere Hall, Ruslan played a 50-hour marathon with two short breaks.
Ruslan was born in Ufa; at the age of 10, he went to a music school, then to a music college. For some time, the musician studied at the Ufa Institute of Arts at a class of composer Professor Rashit Ziganov. In 2003 he moved to St. Petersburg.
Last year, Ruslan's father died, having been suffering from a severe illness for recent years. According to Ruslan, mental breakdown led him to the idea of marathons. Ruslan played the first 24-hour marathon in February last year.
His marathons are popular; tens of thousands of spectators watch them. The future plans of the musician are to develop improvisation, as well as to make a film based on his life story.
Now the creative search for the composer continues; he is working on several projects. Actively performs, writes music for commercial projects. According to Ruslan, after the marathons, he received several offers for concerts.
