Northern capital will gather guests for Sabantuy

Sabantuy will take place in St. Petersburg this coming Saturday, October 3. Its grand opening will take place in the wonderful Ladoga Park at 12 o'clock. Previously, it was held in the summer, but this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was decided to postpone the traditional annual Sabantuy in the northern capital to early October.

Governors of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, as well as representatives of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan will take part in the festivities.

Guests of the Sabantuy will enjoy folk games, attractions, national cuisine, performances by amateur and professional artists, in particular the Akcharlak folklore ensemble from St. Petersburg. In numerous shopping arcades, guests of the holiday will be able to buy kazalyk (horse sausage), chak-chak (dessert from honey), honey, souvenirs and handicrafts.

Sabantuy is one of the favorite holidays of the townspeople, which attracts not only representatives of national diasporas, but also all people who like this massive fun event. Moreover, the St. Petersburg weather forecasters promise sunny weather without rain and wind on this day, the organizers of the holiday say.
