Bashkiria is wonderland, we will come back here: Artists of "Russian Atlantis" project

Bashkortostan hosted the 72nd international plein-air "Russian Atlantis". One of the organizers was the Salavat Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The main goal of the ten-day event was to support and popularize the professional fine arts of the republic, appeal to Christian values ​​and moral ideals.

The closing ceremony took place last weekend at the Pokrovo-Ennatsky monastery in the village of Dedovo, Fedorovsky district. Bishop Nikolay of Salavat and Kumertau handed over the participants of the project letters of gratitude and letters of thanks, and also presented gifts.

Lilia Mikhailova, head of the Board of Trustees of the Witness of Mercy Charitable Foundation, presented the artists with a national decoration of Bashkir women.

The artists presented their pieces of art, each of them was unique and inimitable in its own way. Some of the paintings were given to Metropolitan Nicholas and Archimandrite Nicholas for the creation of an art gallery.

Pupils of Sunday schools of the Salavat diocese will prepare their works for participation in the 16th International Competition of Children's Creativity "The Beauty of God's World". The best of them selected by the participants of the "Russian Atlantis" will be presented at the final stage of the competition in Moscow.

According to the participants of the international plein-air, their creative journey through Bashkortostan inspired them. It is a kind of wonderland here, and they will definitely come back to our republic again.

The artists of the project were also able to enjoy the beauty of the Muradymovsky gorge and reflected their impressions in their paintings.

The "Russian Atlantis" project has vast geography and is being implemented throughout the year, involving members of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation in creative cooperation. "The Russian Atlantis" project has existed for the sixth year already. During this time, it covered more than 20 cities. Every year the artists of the project travel around the country and express themselves in their artwork.

The expedition also had a social part. During all ten days of their stay, the participants met with children, held online conferences with foreign artists, webinars, and masterclasses.
