Spotify streaming service is launched in Russia

The world's largest music streaming service Spotify is officially launched in Russia.

This is a free music app with a premium subscription option.

The service already has Ufa rock bands Outrider, Damask, Lumen, Rustem Asanbaev's album, God Zmei, Nechto, DDT, and Zemfira.

"The launch of the service in Russia and the appearance of our groups in the service gives a chance for high-quality Ufa music to find its listener," says Shamil Valeev, chief of staff of the Public Chamber of Bashkiria.

The application algorithms independently form the playlist based on user preferences.

The world's leading music streaming service was founded in 2006 by two business friends Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon in Sweden.

Their main idea is to stop piracy. The founders believed that if access to music is simplified to listeners, they will not seek for illegal ways to get it.

The service quickly became popular (now it is used by about 286 million people) and attracted a lot of clients from other similar programs.

To start using Spotify, just go through a simple registration and download the free app (available on all platforms).
