Bulat Yusupov is invited to jury of International Film Festival in Istanbul

The famous Bashkir film director Bulat Yusupov was invited to the jury of the 5th International Turkic World Documentary Film Festival, which will be held in the Turkish capital this autumn.

Turkish viewers are familiar with Bulat Yusupov’s films “Babich” and “First Republic”. Films were presented in Turkish at the festivals Altin Koza (Adana), Malatya International Film Festival (Malatya), Rendezvous-Istanbul and were highly recognized by experts. The high quality of the films and the documentary basis laid the foundation for professional cooperation with filmmakers of the Republic of Turkey.

Themes of the film festival: “Turkic Culture” and “Turkic Worldview”. The organizers of the festival set a goal to support and identify new names of documentary filmmakers of Turkic-speaking peoples and to present viewers diverse and high-quality documentaries from Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Kosovo.

The filmmaker Bulat Yusupov will give an expert evaluation of the films and represent the Republic of Bashkortostan at the event.
