Monument to Mustai Karim in Kazan will become friendship symbol between Tatarstan and Bashkortostan

In Kazan, a monument to the outstanding writer, the national poet of Bashkortostan, playwright Mustai Karim will be installed, whose 100th anniversary was widely celebrated in 2019. The monument is planned to be opened as part of the Days of Bashkortostan in Tatarstan.
To install the monument, a site was selected on the Orenburg tract near the Rotornaya stop. Perhaps in the future, there will be a small park, a public garden, Tatar-inform reports.
“This monument will not only be another attraction point for tourists in Tatarstan but will also become a symbol of friendship between the two republics. That is, when people gather there, they will understand that it was established to symbolize the friendship of our republics,” said Ranel Zinatullin, Permanent Representative of Tatarstan to the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Recall, on April 18 last year, a monument to the Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay was unveiled in the square in front of the Ufa State Tatar Theater "Nur" within the framework of the Days of the Republic of Tatarstan. The ceremony was attended by the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The Days of Bashkortostan in Tatarstan, which were supposed to take place in May 2020, were postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
