Flashmob dedicated to Salavat Yulaev is announced in Bashkortostan

On June 16, the 266th anniversary of the birth of the hero of Russia, the national hero of Bashkortostan, poet and commander Salavat Yulaev is marked. This year, the Salavat Yulaev Days will be held online for the first time.

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republican Center for Folk Art and the Non-Profit Organization for the Development of Folklore “Center for Sesens of the Republic of Bashkortostan” launches a flashmob dedicated to the birthday of the national hero.

Tale-tellers, amateurs, and connoisseurs of oral folk art can take part in the flash mob. Participants will perform songs and poems dedicated to Salavat Yulaev, the poetry of the warrior-poet, and publish a video on social media.

The flashmob will last from June 12 to June 16, 2020.
