Radiy Khabirov proposed new dates for VI World Folkloriada
The Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov proposed to the leadership of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts new dates for the VI World Folkloriada CIOFF® - from July 3 to 10, 2021.
It is planned that international participants of the festival will arrive in Ufa on July 2 and leave after the closing ceremony on July 11, the Republican Center for Folk Art specified.
Recall that the World Folkloriada CIOFF® is held every four years. Folklore groups from dozens of countries share their traditions through dancing, music, crafts, and folk games.
The VI World Folkloriada CIOFF® was supposed to be held in the Republic of Bashkortostan in the second half of July 2020; however, like many other large-scale international forums, it was postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
