Art objects dedicated to Sergey Dovlatov and books may appear in Ufa

Experts of the All-Russian contest "Kulturny Sled" announced 15 projects that hit a shortlist. Two original art objects from Ufa are among them.

The jury of the competition was comprised of leading cultural figures, architects, and urbanists. This year the competition brought together more than 800 participants from 64 regions of Russia.

The project by Arthur Valeev is dedicated to an unusual meeting of writers Sergei Dovlatov and Andrei Platonov, described in the novel "Craft". According to the author of the project, the architectural composition will become one of the main attractions of Ufa. Famous writers and just beginners will hold literary contests near the monument, arrange thematic quest excursions and photo shoots.

Elena Plakhutina suggested opening a book art courtyard with literary benches and stands of mobile libraries in Ufa. The walls of the houses will be decorated with street art.

Soon, public hearings will be announced in the cities of the authors of the shortlisted projects. Five projects that will receive public support will be implemented before the end of this year.
