Author of COVID-19 graffiti in Ufa wants to paint it over due to criticism

The Ufa street artist Arthur Lukyanov intends to paint the coronavirus graffiti over because of critical reviews.
“If I had architectural coating with me, I would paint the coronavirus image over, but I would leave the doctor”, the artist said in an interview with the Bashinform News Agency.
The famous Russian designer Artemy Lebedev sharply criticized the Ufa coronavirus graffiti in his YouTube show. The graffiti was based on the work of the English illustrator and caricaturist from Norwich M.J. Hiblen, popular on the Internet.
In the original image, the doctor looks at the scary virus and shows it a middle finger. In the Ufa version, the obscene gesture is changed to an index finger. Thus, the concept of the scandalous graffiti reversed, Lebedev believes.
The graffiti was originally painted in front of the Kuvatov Republican Clinical Hospital in support of the medical staff and hospital patients who were quarantined there. This picture immediately became viral and even was shown on Channel One.
