Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater is among Top 10 Russian theaters

The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater hit the Top 10 Russian theaters. The TurStat portal presented a rating of the best opera houses in Russia in terms of popularity among viewers and online broadcasts on theater sites and on social networks.

The top ten Russian opera houses include the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater (NOVAT), the Yekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, and the Musa Jalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater in Kazan, Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater in Ufa, A.S. Pushkin Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, Saratov Academic Opera and Ballet Theater and Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theater.

The list was prepared for the International Day of Culture, April 15, in honor of the adoption of the Roerich Pact “On the Protection of Artistic and Scientific Institutions and Historic Monuments” in 1935.

The rating is based on a study of the popularity of theaters and offers of online broadcasts.
