Ufa student became only participant from Russia at Angel Blue concert

A student of the Ufa College of Art, a member of the Konstantin Khabensky Ufa Creative Development Studio, Kirill Sysoev became the only participant from Russia at the online concert of American opera singer Angel Blue. He and accompanist Maria Khizyrova sang the Russian folk song.

“It was an amazing event! It was a direct consequence of the coronavirus pandemic. Angel Blue, singing on the best stages of the world - in the Metropolitan, La Scala and others, organized an online concert with student vocalists from around the world. Our freshman Kirill Sysoev sent her his video, was warmly approved, and became a participant in this concert, ”said Elvira Rakhimkulova, a vocal teacher at the art school.

Singer Angel Blue in her social media spoke about the purpose of her project:

“COVID-19 caused a big disruption to concerts that are given at schools and universities around the world. The goal of this series is to support, encourage, and showcase the next generation of classical music performers who have canceled their concerts. ”
