Italian conductor Giovan Battista Dast arrives in Ufa to conduct Rigoletto opera
The Italian conductor Giovan Battista Dast will conduct the Rigoletto opera by J. Verdi in Ufa. The performance will take place at the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater on March 5.
Giovan Battista Dasta is the chief conductor of the Italian symphony orchestra Ars Antiqua and the orchestra Arturo Toscanini (Palermo). The maestro studied conducting and choral art, composition in prestigious educational academies of Italy, as well as in Russia (St. Petersburg).
Giovan Battista Dasta successfully performed with numerous European orchestras in various cities of Italy - Palermo, Naples, Catania, Syracuse, Sorrento, Trieste. Fruitfully collaborates with world-famous Italian theaters and symphony orchestras, including the Teatro Massimo (Palermo), Sicilian Symphony Orchestra. Since 2001 he is the main guest conductor of the Sofia Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Moldavian Television and Radio. Over the years, he has been conducting the largest European music collectives: the Romanian Symphony Orchestra Jona Dumitrescu, the Italian Symphony Orchestra Camerata di Valcea, the National Radio Romanian Orchestra.
Since 1997, he is the founder, general manager and music director of the Ars Antiqua Academy of Music. The maestro’s creative repertoire is rich and extensive, including the compositions by A. Vivaldi, J. Verdi, F. Schubert, S. Prokofiev, I. Stravinsky, S. Slonimsky.
