Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announces accreditation start to Folkloriada
Speaking at the weekly briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced a start of accreditation for the VI World Folkloriada.
“At the end of our introductory part, today I would like to announce a major cultural event within the framework of Pancake Week that is directly related to the preservation of folk traditions and customs. It is planned in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The VI World Folkloriada of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts will be held there from July 18 to August 1. This large-scale event will take place in several stages in Russia. The grand opening will take place in Ufa on July 18, and a parade of all guests in national costumes will be held on July 19. Starting this week, the accreditation is open for representatives of Russian and foreign media on the official website of the VI World Folkloriada,” said Maria Zakharova. “The event will bring together more than 3,000 representatives (as planned) from 85 countries. For 14 days, teams of countries and regions will communicate with each other through culture”.
