Most interesting artifacts exhibition of "Ancient Ufa" Museum-Reserve has opened in Ufa

An exhibition of the most interesting artifacts of the Republican Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Ancient Ufa" has opened in Ufa as part of the 19th Russian Industrial Forum. For the first day of the forum, the exhibition was visited by guests from Russia, Germany, Italy, Belarus.

The exhibition presents foundry items - crucibles, ladle, slag, jeweler raw materials - gold wire, finished goods from gold, silver, bronze. The original pottery industry is represented by vessels of various shapes of small and large sizes found during excavations of the archeological monument.

"The formation of an industrial center in the republic and Ufa has a rich historical past. Today it can be stated that a large craft center began to form at the location of the medieval Settlement Ufa-II, starting from the 4th century", the Museum-Reserve representatives inform.

In the early Middle Ages, the Settlement became one of the points of the Silk Road, its northern branch. At this time, numerous craft workshops reached their height. Active contacts with European, Mediterranean, and Asian countries can be traced - imported beads, ceramic products in which various goods were transported, products of the Byzantine Empire.
