"The Little Sister" film received Grand Prix of Sretensky Film Festival

The film directed by Alexander Galibin "The Little Sister" based on the story of Mustai Karim "The Joy of Our Home," received the Grand Prix of the 15th International Orthodox Sretensky Film Festival "Vstrecha". The best actor award was given to Arslan Krymchurin, who performed the role of Yamil in the film, TASS reports.
The anniversary festival was held in 11 cities of the Kaluga region and was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The competition program included 75 films from 11 countries, including Belarus, Serbia, Sweden, Israel, Switzerland, and 50 films more were in the non-competition program. Total, more than 300 applications from 18 countries were submitted to the film festival.
The military drama "The Little Sister" was shot by the Motor Film Studio with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Mustai Karim Foundation. The film was released on September 19, 2019, to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim.
"The Little Sister" screenings were held as part of film festivals in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Plyos, Yalta, Svetlogorsk, Vyborg, Volokolamsk, Smolensk, Veliky Novgorod, Tyumen, Vladimir, Tambov and near Tuapse. Also, special screenings of the film took place in London, Brussels, and Vienna.
The film won the Grand Prix of the 4th Yalta International Film Festival "Eurasian Bridge", an Audience Award and a diploma of the III degree at the 23rd All-Russian Festival of Visual Arts at the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok", a Grand Prix and an Audience Award at the 16th International Charity Film Festival "Radiant Angel", an Audience Award at the 16th International Military-Patriotic Film Festival "Volokolamsky Rubezh", a prize for the best full-length feature film at the 6th International Children And Family Film Festival "Zero Plus", prize for the best children film at the Aleksey Batalov Film Festival "Zhuravli".
