Ufa hosts solo exhibition of Vladimir Panchenko

A solo exhibition of works by Vladimir Panchenko, a painter, Honored Worker of Culture RB, winner of the Gold Medal "Spirituality, Traditions, Mastery" of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, has opened in the Ufa Art Gallery. The exhibition presents paintings of recent years and runs until March 14.

Vladimir Panchenko was born in 1937 in the village of Verovka in the Fedorovsky district of Bashkortostan, and his childhood and youth passed in the village of Antonovka in the Meleuzovsky district. In 1967, he graduated from the painting and teaching department of the Moscow Art College. In 1989 he joined the Union of Artists of the USSR.

Throughout his career, Vladimir Panchenko created portraits and genre paintings but always remained loyal to the landscape genre: in the 60-70s - industrial, in the 80-90s - lyrical. Interest in the industrial landscape led the artist to genre paintings: many of his works of the 70-80s are devoted to the oil industry of Bashkiria. The artist's creativity in the genre of the industrial landscape brought him great success. Most of the works created at that time are in the collection of the M.V. Nesterov Bashkir State Art Museum.

The period of the 80s can be called the time of the artist's spiritual return to the theme of the nature of his native land.

Currently, Vladimir Panchenko is creating works inspired by his small homeland - the Meleuzovsky district, where his childhood and youth passed, and the wildlife beauty of Bashkortostan. V.A. Panchenko devoted many years of his creative life to educational activities. From 1977 to 1994, he worked at the M.V. Nesterov Bashkir State Art Museum as the Head of the Touring Exhibitions Department.
