Ufa native Asiya Garipova became a scholarship holder of the Franz Liszt Higher School of Music in Germany. The 23-year-old violinist has been receiving a scholarship since October 2019, but the official presentation will take place the other day.

On February 8, Asiya Garipova will be awarded a scholarship certificate at the Concert Hall in Weimar. She will also take part in the concert program, said Aliya Mambetova, spokeswoman for the Ufa Secondary Special Music College.

Asiya Garipova was born in 1996 in Ufa in a musical family. She graduated from the Secondary Special Music College, class of Honored Artist RB Lilia Bogomolova. From 2014 to 2019, she studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in St. Petersburg in the class of Professor Alexander Stang. She was a scholarship holder of the “Hereditary Talents of Russia” funds, Vladimir Spivakov Charity Fund. Laureate of many music competitions, performed solo concerts in St. Petersburg and Simferopol, as well as in Prague (Czech Republic).
