"Candle in Memory of Holocaust" memorial concert will take place in Ufa

The Regional Public Organization of National Jewish Culture "Kochav" of the Republic of Bashkortostan holds a memorial concert "The Candle in Memory of the Holocaust". The concert will take place on the small stage of the "Bashkortostan" State Concert Hall on January 26 at 16.00.

Though this memorial concert Ufa will join the international online campaign "# We remember". The event will be attended by the Chief Rabbi of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the city of Ufa Dan Krichevsky.

During the memorable evening, verses will be sung from the stage, excerpts from the memoirs of participants in those terrible events, famous artists of the republic will perform musical compositions.

The memorial concert is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the release of the prisoners of the Auschwitz-Birkenau (Auschwitz) concentration camp by the forces of the Soviet Red Army.

The project is implemented through a grant from the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Russian Jewish Congress, the Ural branch of the “Joint” Distribution Committee Charity foundation, and the Public Assembly "Assembly of the Peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan".

January 27 is an international Holocaust remembrance day.
