Golden Mask jury included conductor Artem Makarov and director Airat Abushakhmanov

On December 9, the Secretariat of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation approved the composition of the jury of the Golden Mask Russian National Theater Award-2020 competition. The jury included cultural figures of Bashkortostan - conductor Artem Makarov and director Airat Abushakhmanov.

The main conductor of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, Honored Artist of Bashkortostan, laureate of the Russian National Theater Award "Golden Mask" Artem Makarov has been working in the jury for the second year.

“We will go to different cities to watch some performances. Last year, we went to Samara, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg. This year, more nominees are represented in the music nomination than in the past, so there is something to discuss, there is something to see”, Artem Makarov shared with the Bashinform News Agency.

Since 2019, the jury of the Drama and Puppet Theater nomination has included the director of the Mazhit Gafuri Bashkir Academic Drama Theater, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Airat Abushakhmanov.

The jury of the Golden Mask 2020, chaired by the director and art director of the Praktika Theater Marina Brusnikina (Moscow), will include actors, directors, theater critics, theater experts from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tolyatti and Chelyabinsk.
