Winter Festival of National Symphony Orchestra will present six gala concerts in Ufa

From December 10 to 27, the Winter Festival of the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan will be held in Ufa. The first concert will take place at the “Bashkortostan” State Concert Hall on December 10. Organizers told about the concerts and participants of the Winter Festival at a press conference in the Bashinform News Agency.
“It will be a grand event. Six diverse concerts, wonderful soloists from various institutions, and countries. I am convinced that we will continue and develop this tradition - to perform in Ufa and the cities of Bashkortostan, to show our work to all residents, ”says Artur Naziullin, the General Director of the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Honored Artist RB.
The pianist from Philadelphia (USA) Timur Mustakimov will come to the opening concert of the festival in Ufa. A native of Nizhnekamsk, a graduate of the Kazan Conservatory, now touring around the world, in Ufa, accompanied by an orchestra, he will play the first piano concerto by Tchaikovsky.
On December 16, the “Young Stars of the World Opera” program will be presented at the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater. In Ufa, famous arias from Russian operas will be performed by two soloists of the Bolshoi Theater Olga Seliverstova (soprano) and Julia Mazurova (mezzo-soprano). Both artists have an international career, singing in such theaters as the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, Paris Opera. Olga worked in Paris for several years.
On December 17, the program “Treasury of Russian Classics” in the City Culture Palace of Sterlitamak will include compositions by Mily Balakirev and Alexander Borodin.
The public will listen to Brahms' German requiem for soloists, choir and symphony orchestra in the Great Hall of the Ufa College of Art on December 23.
The festival will be closed with concerts by a pianist, People’s Artist of Russia, Honored Artist of the BASSR Vladimir Ovchinnikov held in Ufa and Belebey - the hometown of Ovchinnikov. The concerts are scheduled for December 26 at the Belebey Central House of Culture and December 27 at “Bashkortostan” State Concert Hall in Ufa.
