Putin marked Bashkir Drama Theater’s contribution to preserving spiritual heritage of peoples

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the staff of the Mazhit Gafuri’s Bashkir State Academic Drama Theater on the 100th anniversary. In his congratulatory telegram, he marks its outstanding contribution to the preservation of the spiritual heritage of the peoples of Bashkortostan.

“Over the past years, the oldest state theatre in Bashkiria has become a large public and education center and made a significant contribution to preserving the rich historical and cultural heritage of the people living in the Republic of Bashkortostan as well as to the development of our multi-ethnic culture.

It is important that today talented actors and actresses, as well as directors and artists, work in the theatre pleasing their audiences with a full and diverse repertoire and taking an active part in large theatrical festivals and other interesting creative events”, the text of the telegram says published on the Kremlin’s website.

The President wished the staff of the theater success and all the best, and also noted that it was symbolic that the theater celebrated its centenary in 2019, declared the Year of the Theater in Russia.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, the festive evening in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Bashkir Theater was held the day before in Ufa in the building of the Opera and Ballet Theater.
