New head of "Agidel" intends to achieve global level by Bashkir enterprise

Guzel Karimova headed the “Agidel” state enterprise of Bashkir art and crafts of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The general director of the enterprise told the Bashinform News Agency reporter about the activities of the company, and also shared plans and prospects.

“The “Agidel” state unitary enterprise is the company that honors traditions, preserves folk art and transfers it to the future generation. This is the only state-owned unitary enterprise remaining in the industry. I want to unite all the craftsmen to work collectively as it is very difficult to sell handmade products single-handedly. Besides, we plan to enter the international market. The first steps have already been taken; negotiations are underway with one of the countries regarding trade and economic cooperation. I also think that the Agidel souvenirs should be available in all hotels of the country”, said the head of the enterprise. “We plan to launch a new line of women's clothing. For this there are artists, graphic designers. Now we are working on the creative project “Revival of Bashkiria”: we are restoring traditional plastrons and developing stylized ones. ”

"Agidel" produces souvenirs, symbols, Bashkir yurts. The creative team of the state-owned enterprise is working on lacquer painting, Bashkir painting, carpet weaving, batik, carved figures, exclusive wood souvenirs imitating stones, Bashkir national clothes, and many other things.
