Schoolchildren from Bashkiria and Netherlands will take part in “Friendship Bridge” online conference

The Center for Intercultural Partnership implements the "International scientific-practical conference" project – “Russia - the Netherlands in the era of the Napoleonic Wars. From war to the dialogue of cultures”. The project was awarded a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society.

Within the framework of the project, an international online conference “Friendship Bridge” is scheduled for December 19. Pupils of educational institutions of both countries will take part in it. The issues of studying and preserving the historical heritage of the period 1812-1813 will be discussed there. During the meeting, online presentations "What I know about Russia" and "What I learned about the Kingdom of the Netherlands" will be held.

The schoolchildren who demonstrate the best knowledge of the subject and the English language fluency will be invited to participate in the “Friendship Bridge” international online conference with pupils from educational institutions of both countries, which will be held in February 2020.

The purpose of the event is to stimulate schoolchildren’s interest in studying the history of their native land and foreign languages to foster sustainable development, mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation of the peoples of the world, to preserve and popularize the historical heritage, and develop creative abilities.
